Admission Criteria & Procedure

  • Admissions are open to all children irrespective of their caste and religion.
  • A candidate securing admission in preparatory class and Std. 1 must procure an official birth certificate. A candidate will not be admitted in the absence of a birth certificate. Candidates seeking admission to higher classes must produce a School Leaving Certificate from a recognized school, countersigned by the concerned education officer if migrating from another state. An Aadhaar card is also mandatory.
  • A candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe must produce an official caste/tribe certificate duly signed by a competent authority.
  • Admissions are given on a merit basis, subject to vacancy in the respective class.
  • Names & details filled in the admission form will be used for Board formalities. No changes are permissible at a later date.

Admission Policy

There are fifteen year groups in the school: Nursery to Class XII. Each class has a class teacher and subject teachers for different subjects. Each year group from Nursery up to Class X is divided into three divisions, with a strength of 40-50 students per division. Class XI and XII are divided into two streams: Science and Commerce.

Parents wishing to secure a place for their child should submit a duly filled application form to the Principal in April/May/June. Shortlisted candidates will be informed as early as possible, depending on vacancy.

Withdrawals

  • A month’s clear notice must be given for withdrawal, or one month’s fees will be charged. If the notice is less than one month, fees will be issued against a 'No Dues Certificate'.
  • Pupils leaving in October or earlier will pay one term fee. Those withdrawing after October will pay a full term fee.
  • The Principal may ask a parent to remove a pupil if their conduct, behavior, or influence is detrimental to the school’s principles or if the pupil is unable to benefit from the educational advantages.
  • Pupils will be withdrawn for irregular attendance without sufficient reasons or non-payment of fees for two months.

School Term

The academic year commences in June and ends in April, divided into two terms: June-October and November-April. A parent orientation meeting is held at the beginning of each academic year.

Visiting Hours

  • Principal: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Monday to Saturday)
  • Vice Principal: 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. (Monday to Saturday)
  • Teachers: 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. (Saturday)

Transportation / Commuting to the School

The school provides bus transport facilities with a bus tracking system. Parents interested in availing this facility should contact the school manager.

Fee Structure

JYOTI VIDYAPEETH SR.SEC. School is a private institution. Fees are paid for twelve months (June to May) and include tuition fees, charges for games, sports, library, science laboratories, computer training, teaching aids, cultural activities, and general stationery. Fees are paid quarterly, and a fine is levied for late payments.

Books

We follow NCERT books from Class VI onwards. For Classes V and below, suitable publications are selected based on school standards. Books can be purchased from local outlets, and details will be provided at the time of admission.

A Word of Caution

Parents are requested to ensure their children adhere to the uniform schedule and carry their identity cards daily. Students not in proper uniform may be sent home immediately.
